Some people have to use public transport, some dislike it and still some love it. If everyone has a car and drives anywhere they want to go, there will be serious traffic problems on the road. Luckily, trains are a good form of public transport.
British people use trains a lot. This is especially so for people who are travelling from London to Paris. Every day about 20 trains leave London. They travel at a very high speed and people feel glad that the trains take only 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach Paris. It's much faster to travel by train than by bus or by car. This is because people have to drive cars or buses very carefully and slowly for many reasons, such as speed limits and traffic jams. However, when you are travelling by train, the speed is almost the same and there is no traffic jam for a train.
Besides, Londoners think taking a train is one of the safest ways of travelling on the ground. Trains take quite a number of quality tests while they are made. More importantly, they have to take many safety checks before they are used on the rail track. What's more, trains in Britain are comfortable and provide fine services for their users. When you are on a London train, you will find that the train has comfortable tables and seats where people can sit. They also provide food services and power plugs (电源插头) for personal computers or mobile phone.

What will the world be like in 100 years? No one knows. I think everything is going to change more. It will be better to live then than now.
In 100 years, there will be only one country. By advances (改进) in transportation, people can move to other places easily. People will move not only to other places on the earth, but also to other planets in space, because the earth is already full.
Robots (机器人) will drive the bus in the future. The seats on it can be changed to fit adults and children. What people will do is to inform (通知) the car its destination (目的地) and then the robot can do the rest. There will be no car accidents, because cars can safely find out their way.
The food of other planets will become popular and many people will learn more about it. If people don’t have time to have meals, they can eat food like beans which is small but good for people’s health. It is also easy to buy at the supermarket.
Linguists (语言学家) in the world worry that some languages will disappear. We can do everything on the internet. So many people will use English. English will be the language of all the people in the world. Maybe English centers will disappear. We don’t have English exams. I am looking forward to that happening someday.
