◆ When you are using mobile phones, keep them at least 30cm from your eyes. Try not to use your smartphone in direct sunlight.
◆ Blink(眨眼)more often when your are looking at the screen. This can help you stop dry eyes.
◆ Remember to take a 20-20-20 break: every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and look at something 20 feet (about 6 meters) away.
◆ Spend less time in front of screens. One to two hours a day is OK for your eyes.

World Reading Day
April 23 is a special day. On this day in 1616, the great writers Shakespeare(莎士比亚)
and Cervantes died. It is also St. George’s Day at Catalonia in Spain. There is a legend(传说)about this. Long ago, a man called George saved a princess(公主)who was in danger on April 23. The princess gave him a book as a gift. Later, ladies and girls always sent a book to their husbands or boy friends on this day.
So, in 1955 UNESCO choose the date, April 23, as World Reading Day. The day is set to commemorate(纪念)outstanding(杰出的)people in the world of literature(文学). It also encourages everyone, especially young people, to discover the pleasure of reading.
Since then, many countries celebrate World Reading Day on April 23. In Spain, a rose is given as a present for each book sold. In South Korea, stamps about World Reading Day come out on that day. Some countries celebrate World Reading Day on other dates. In the UK, it is often celebrated in March.
