　　This issue is a controversial one that affects the daily life of everyone. People usually take one side over the other, despite not having any idea about the subject. But in my case, I totally disagree with the title statement for my reasons below.

　　With reference to living surroundings, the reason why I disagree with building a shopping center near my community is that it would be very noisy. Simply speaking, consumers or shoppers may disrupt the daily life of people in the local community. For example, if a shopping mall will be built, it would attract thousands of people and consequently, a lot of noisy and trash as well. Although the majority may stick to the idea that this new supermarket will be good for whole people in and out of the community, I still think its drawbacks outweigh the benefits.

　　Second, a shopping mall always occupies much space. If a community newly includes a shopping mall, it will become crowded and may lose some grassland. Obviously, we will not be able to see the green trees behind the mall or appreciate the night sky clearly. As an illustration, private cars and delivery trunks are always seen to come in and go out of the community. Consequently, what we may hear is noisy and what we see is a mess.

　　Finally, if a shopping center were built, the overall result would have an adverse effect on people’s health because automobiles emit exhausted gas and trash will be seen everywhere. Putting too much emphasis on this, it will obviously result in obscuring other facts. As far as I am concerned, I completely believe that we cannot ignore the need of health due to the convenience of buying something. Moreover, it is impossible that we are crazy for healthy life in such an unpleasant condition.

　　To sum up, I would state my point on this issue after analyzing the three reasons again. It is true that building a shopping mall in a community will interrupt local residents and harm the environment and human being’s health. So it is sagacious/wise to support the statement that it is better to build it in he suburb or other places.

As far as I am concerned, I completely believe that each citizen should focus on their future convenience, but not on some noisy. Moreover, we spend more time indoor so that a large part of our lives cannot be interrupted directly.

In addition, academic subjects are good for training us in mental discipline, while practical subjects are weak in this regard.

Lessons in the best literature of the world, and the epoch-making scientific and geographical discoveries of the past enrich our lives and make us feel that we are part of the great family of mankind.

　　All in all, the teaching of academic subjects in schools is entirely appropriate. It is my firmly held view that practical subjects have no place in the classroom. On the contrary, the curriculum should be more academic!
