　　Describe a time when you had a problem with a piece of equipment

　　Oh I can’t wait to tell you this, my MacBook Pro crashed last week, again. My laptop is six years old, it’s in silver colour, and heavy enough for me to hesitate every time I have to carry it to work. I mean it’s old, and it’s been glitching for quite a while, sometimes I had to wait an hour for it to work properly again.

　　So last week, when I was editing videos on my laptop, it got slower and slower as I kept adding different effects to the clips. Then all of a sudden, the screen froze, I couldn’t do anything with my mouse or keyboard, and it was heating up like a microwave. I had to force quit it, then soon I realised that I couldn’t get it restarted as usual. During the crash, I imagined all possible scenarios that might occur, losing files, paying a fortune to repair it and more importantly, missing my deadlines.

　　The only solution was to reinstall the system. It happened few times already so I was nearly an expert. thankfully nothing else was wrong during the process, but it’s really terrifying no matter how many times I’ve done it.

　　In the end, I successfully reinstalled my laptop through my backup disk, however, I lost two days of working record. I would’t say I’m an efficient person, but still, I did loads of work during that two days, it was such an inconvenience to redo everything.

　　After all these, I said to myself that, it’s probably the time for my old friend to get retired.
