大学英语六级口语考试应试指导:陈述

  Part 2

  l Statement (60s + 90s)

  在这一部分考生和自己的搭档会在屏幕上看到自己参加的这次口语考试的核心话题并且依次进行陈述,当然,双方看见的话题卡片是不一样的。样卷话题卡片如下图所示:

  到了卡片题,也就是个人陈述这个环节,考查考生描绘、叙述、解释、总结等综合能力以及相关话题词汇的掌握情况,从这个环节开始进入口语考试的主干部分。时间上有90秒的陈述时间,60秒的准备时间。我个人认为这60秒的准备,更像是为整个Part2预留的准备时间,因为后面的讨论环节若是能提前做好准备效果必然很不一样。

  准备什么呢?词汇,话题相关的词汇。在脑中尽可能多地检索出话题相关的词汇,以及一个合适的框架和具体的展开形式和填充内容,接下来,将这个想法固化在脑中,等待叙述开始时一步步地用嘴说出来。作为口语考试的主干环节之一,想要拿高分的话应该在考前尽可能多的去积累、去练习。90s的叙述等于是要即兴创作一篇命题作文,所需要的框架当然比问答时用的更加复杂,需要填充的内容也会更多,应该表达出的思想也应该更有深度。

  在这一环节,考生可以从“开场——提炼主题——拓展细节——原因(可选)——结束”几个黄金步骤展开并深入讨论。这样既会避免“无话可说”的窘境,又能使得考生的论述逻辑性强,内容充实、完整。

  Part1中已经提及的方法普适性较强,大部分在这里也可以根据自己的需要来使用,后文Part3中介绍的方法这里也可以根据自己的需要来使用。以下再扩充一些更适用于这个环节的方法:

  1. 主体展开功能

  1) 解释原因法

  “慢版解释”三部曲

  开场:

  主题+原因:

  2. 谈变化

  开场——主题句——细节——“慢版解释”三部曲(可选)——结束

  1) 过去时间三部曲(用于描述经历)

  开场:

  Well, let me talk about…

  主题句

  2) 未来时间两部曲(用于描述未来计划)

  以下是我关于样卷中考生B的卡片的陈述:

  Well, let me talk about the problems in food safety. I think that it could be numerous, and I most care for two aspects. The main problem is that the use of gutter oil. To control the cost of operation, and for more benefits, the restaurants in the streets risk danger in desperation, let alone the sanitary condition. It is hardly too much to say that the example is the numerous. Another thing that I’m concerned is the drug abuse in planting industry, animal industry and fishing industry. With the population explosion, the demand for food is boosting. In order to cater for the market demand, relevant industry use hormone for growth-promoting, despite of the health problems may lead to. In general, I would say, food safety determines the national and social stability, and it touches everyone.

  l Discussion (3m)

  这个环节算是六级口语考试的一个特色所在,也是“搭档”进行考试的意义所在,主要是根据上一环节所涉及的内容展开话题,进行跟进问题讨论。重点考察考生实际使用英语进行交流、探讨和应变的能力。在这个环节也得多花点心思准备,因为它耗时比其他所有环节录音时长加起来都长,而且你要面对的是一个活人,也就是说你不光得会答,还得会问。首先这个环节属于正式讨论,因此措辞上尽量使用正式的词汇。其次讨论时的焦点应该随着每个新问题的提出而转移,尽可能从搭档的回答中引出下一个问题,同时根据搭档的水平在问题难度上做适当的调整。这部分大概包括4~6个问题,数量取决于双方的回答,所以回答时需要考生有条理地思考,能够解释、分析、比较、展望和表达观点,可以先给出一个见解,然后进行论证,论证方法颇似写作。最后就是注意一点,这也是考官最后提醒的一点:这是一个搭档活动,你得跟人交流,不能一个人在那BB不给人家机会说。

  官方样卷中考官话术如下:

  Right. Now that we’ve talked briefly about food safety, I’d like you to develop this topic further and have a discussion for about four and a half minutes. During the discussion you may argue and ask each other questions. Our discussion is about:

  How to ensure food safety.

  Remember, this is a pair activity and you need to interact with each other. So don’t keep talking without giving the other a chance. Now let’s begin.
