  参考译文:

Development is part of the relentless pursuit of human societies for a better life. The right to development is an inalienable human right that symbolizes human dignity and honor. Only development can address the root causes of global challenges, protects the fundamental rights of the global population, and facilitate social progress for all.

China is the world’s largest developing country with more than 1.3 billion people. Development is the top priority of China, because it holds the key to solving all problems faced by the country. In light of its national realities, China remains committed to Chinese socialism and sees development as the paramount task. It also integrates the universality of human rights with its national context: it boosts national development to improve social wellbeing and uphold the people’s development to right, which in turn helps achieve high-standard development. The impressive achievements that China has made since 1949 also fosters a new model of protection for the right to development in human history.

Development remains an uphill battle for China, the world’s largest developing country. Its current development is rather unbalanced, uncoordinated and unsustainable, and much remains to be done to boost high-standard development and better uphold the right to development. For China, it remains a top priority to meet the growing material and cultural needs of the Chinese people and help them achieve their full potential. It will continue to work together with other countries to enhance development cooperation, promote experience-sharing and contribute to the greater development of the world and the establishment of a community with shared future for mankind.
