　　要培养学生的爱国意识、社会责任感和创新意识，以及将理论转化为实践的能力。

　　Education is a fundamental task of China. Priority should be given to the development of education during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, with efforts to cultivate talent for the country and to manage education to the satisfaction of the people.

　　Efforts should be made to keep to the socialist orientation in running schools. The fundamental mission of education is to cultivate virtues and morality and it should play a key role in fostering and practicing core socialist values.

　　It is also important to develop students' sense of patriotism, social responsibility, and innovation, as well as the ability to put ideas into practice.
