　　The 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded to two female scientists for their discovery on genome editing, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced on October 7.

　　The two scientists have discovered one of gene technology's sharpest tools: the CRISPR/Cas9 genetic scissors. Using these, researchers can change the DNA of animals, plants and microorganisms with extremely high precision. The dream of being able to cure inherited diseases is about to come true.

　　瑞典皇家科学院10月7日宣布，将2020年诺贝尔化学奖授予两名女科学家，表彰她们在基因组编辑方法研究领域做出的贡献。

　　这两名科学家共同发现了基因技术中最先进的分子工具之一 ——CRISPR/Cas9基因剪刀，使研究人员可以精确地改变动物、植物和微生物的DNA。人类离治愈遗传病的梦想又近了一步。
