China has expanded the application of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) in transportation, with over 6.9 million commercial vehicles having BDS installed in them, the Ministry of Transport (MOT) said.
About 31,400 postal and express delivery vehicles, 1,369 public service ships and 300 general-purpose aircraft have BDS installed. China has issued a special plan for the application of BDS in railways, highways, waterways and civil aviation.
交通运输部表示，中国北斗导航系统在交通方面的应用范围和规模进一步扩大，约690万辆道路营运车辆已经安装使用北斗系统。
目前，共有3.14万辆邮政快递运营车辆、1369艘公务船舶、300架通用飞行器安装了北斗导航系统。中国已针对北斗卫星在铁路、公路、水路、民航等领域的应用出台了一部专项规划。
