open-access academic journal

　　China's first English-language publication offering research in the field of remote sensing has been launched online. The Journal of Remote Sensing is an open-access academic journal published in affiliation with the CAS's (Chinese Academy of Sciences) Aerospace Information Research Institute and distributed by the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

　　The journal will publish articles involving the progress of science and technology of remote sensing, as well as research results of remote sensing in areas such as resources and environment, disaster monitoring and interdisciplinary applications. It will also focus on the most innovative, pioneering and exploratory remote sensing studies worldwide, to promote international academic exchanges.

　　近日，我国第一本遥感英文学术期刊《Journal of Remote Sensing》正式上线。该刊是一本可开放获取的学术期刊，由中国科学院空天信息创新研究院主办，是美国科学促进会(AAAS，Science出版方)的伙伴期刊。

　　期刊发表文章的内容涉及遥感科学技术发展，遥感在资源环境领域、灾害监测以及交叉应用领域的研究成果等。该刊特别关注国际遥感领域的最具创新性、前沿性和探索性的学术成果，努力促进国际学术交流。
