西夏
西夏(1038-1227年)是由党项人在中国西部建立的一个政权。唐朝中和元年(881年)，拓跋思恭占据夏州(今陕西横山县)，世袭此地为节度使封“夏国公”。1038年，李元昊建国，国号称“大夏”。又因其在西方，宋人称之为“西夏”，于1227年被蒙古灭亡。

The Western Xia Dynasty
The Western Xia Dynasty (1038-1227) is a regime established by Tanguts in western China. In the first year of Emperor Zhonghe of the Tang Dynasty (881), Tuo Ba Sigong occupied Xiazhou (Hengshan, Shaanxi Province today), and inherited permanently this region as military commissioner (cast as Duke of Xia). In 1038, Li Yuanhao established a state titled the "Great Xia". Since it was in the west, it was called by the Song Dynasty "the Western Xia Dynasty". It was conquered by the Mongolian Empire in 1227.
